You’ll have heard his music and remixes being played at many festivals and in clubs but might not know who it is, this is KYGO.
KYGO, aged 23, was initially recognised through SoundCloud (https://soundcloud.com/kygo) with his page getting millions of views for his modern and futuristic remixes of chart hits; he was later contacted by Chris Martin of Coldplay to remix “Midnight”. However his real break came when he was asked by Avicii to support him at Findings Festival in Norway 2014 and later take his place to perform on the main stage at TomorrowWorld 2014 due to Avicii’s pull out.
In July 2014 he was Signed to major music label Ultra Records and Sony International and continued to remix top artists music from Rihanna’s “Stay” to Matt Corby with his song “Resolution”.

He released his own track in late 2014 “Firestone” which hit number 8 in the UK charts and which re-emerged in the charts in 2015 gaining the artist further recognition. His second single “Stole The Show” was released in February 2015 and was number 1 in his home country of Norway. The song was later used by the promoters of Ultra Music Festival as the official trailer audio for the 2015 festival. KYGO performed at the Ultra Music Festival and received rave reviews by many fans and critics; his set can be heard here
One remix KYGO is most well-known for is that of “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran which has been listened to on SoundCloud alone over 32 million times. KYGO’s success being down to his creative thinking in the modern and new ways he remixes the tracks by retaining the original track to its base features but introducing a modern summer vibe with the high tempo beat which captures listeners throughout the track itself.
Some of the main remixes we think are his best work can be listened to on our playlist here:

I’m being sure that this won’t be the last you’ll hear of him either.
