New music from wild youth

Last month, Irish pop sensation Wild Youth dropped their latest new single, and first release of the year – Next To You  alongside a brand new music video. One of the biggest new Irish bands to emerge in recent times; Wild Youth have been successfully putting their stamp on the pop scene over the last few years, with their melodic brand of pop-rock entangled with addictive electronic touches.

The latest in a string of “sad bangers” and fantastic releases; while retaining the band’s classic sound and essence, Next To You shows off a new side to the bands sonic style. Delivering an up-beat and euphoric 80s infused soundscape, the track is filled with dazzling hooks and timeless vocals; inspired by the classic and universal idea of immediate romance. With a dreamy and euphoric melody that gives off an instantly feel-good retro vibe, the track is another in Wild Youth’s scintillating pop discography.

Speaking on the track, Wild Youth shared how:

Next to You is about an immediate connection with somebody; that overwhelming feeling of meeting “the one”, and wanting to spend every single minute by their side. Regardless of whatever that involves, you’ll literally do anything.

To add to the incredible release; Next to You is further complemented by a vibrant, psychedelic video conceived by the band and The Tenth Man, marked by the four member’s hypnotic and irresistibly catchy dances. Consisting of dream-like kaleidoscopic visuals, that give off a distinct 80s aura; the video is a perfect visual reflection of the track, and shows off the band’s distinctive hip-shaking dance moves.
