New Release – Isaac Tyler with “Give Me Mercy”

New Release – Isaac Tyler with “Give Me Mercy”

So the day has arrived in which we see 18 year old Isaac Tyler drop his debut single “Give Me Mercy”.

Tyler has been singed to Ont’ Sofa Records for over a year now and has been developing his own individual style which has built up to this moment. However Isaac isn’t the first talent we have been involved with from Ont’ Sofa as we have also supported and enjoyed releases from Scott Quinn; have a look here at our Interview with Scott.

“Give Me Mercy” was co-written with The Dunwells, also from Leeds, but by no means does this mean the piece isn’t performed from the soul. As Tyler commented on the co-writing process:

“I’d never done co-writes before, it’s always been just me! So I definitely felt like I was in the deep end. Give Me Mercy was born from a conversation we had about trying to get through tough times with the people around you, even when it’s far from perfect. It stemmed from there, the song really wrote itself after that.”

It seems like this is just a start of what to expect from Tyler in 2017 with many more tracks to be released this year; this isn’t a process which Tyler takes lightly:

“It’s got to be organic. I’ve spent the last few years developing the way I write and making sure the first track I put out is very me! I LOVE writing. We live beside a reservoir in a quiet village, so it’s the perfect setting.”
